<p>Well, I didn't mean how their powers just disappear but they can't use their powers when they are back in the real world. I also forgot about what lore was revealed in P3 about how they can summon their Persona's in the real world but need their evokers or be under stress to do so. I honestly forgot about that due to how they present the cast of P4 and P5 summon their Persona's while in whatever collective unconscious they are in. There is also P1 and P2 way of Persona being summoned but I always thought that had to do with a distortion like that imaginary world made from Mari influencing the Real World or how rumor came true in Persona 2. If I were to change my interpretation for a more accurate take, I would say the trope would be subverted due to how they can't access their powers without a catalyst such as an evoker or being under duress. Could that work for the trope that I am looking for?
