I think that keeping it open for just an week might be too narrow of an timeframe, considering how we have one admin who's spread out resolving with some other drama on an lot of wikis. And the rest of site's regulars haven't chimed in, yet

Well, to reiterate the obvious, he's stated that he'll put his own opinions before consulting you or anyone else. And so far, he doesn't seems intent on changing going by his last post, here. However, we can't just demote him since he stated that he'll be back to defend himself

Could always promote me and an few of the regulars to an admins if the others' absence is going to be that big of an issue.
