A woman sits in a hospital room, alone with her dying father. 4 North A is an animated short by Howie Shia and Jordan Canning.
In the short, there aren't any words but there's a story about a woman, her memories, and her dyin' dad, where closure is close but very much out of reach.
- Cigarette of Anxiety: For a moment, in the parking lot, the woman goes to her car to smoke. She really do got a lot on her mind.
- Kids Are Cruel: Well, they did goad the Woman kill a snake for no reason in a flashback. The incident did shake the Woman to her core.
- Mime And Music Cartoon: Other than ambiance and the woman (as a girl), yelling "Dad", we don't get any convos.
- Missing Mom: Actually, it's implied that the Woman was raised by a single dad.
- Unknown Character: The Father. We only know bits & pieces by flashbacks to the Woman's childhood and not a whole lot else, though, it's implied he might've been a li'l distant towards the Woman in her childhood, as she's shown calling out to him for comfort.
- Vague Age: Though, a l'il less, as the Woman is middle-aged and her father is elderly.
