These things about All Summer in a Day are subjective - not everyone will agree with all of them.
- The Woobie: Margot, who moved from Earth when she was four and has never fit in on Venus because of her memories of the sun. When the sun does come out for the first time in 7 years, she never gets to experience it and it's only after the other kids get to experience it do they remember that they locked her in the closet when the rain comes back. From what we know about Margot, she really needed the sunshine and that day probably would've been the happiest she's been in the last five years.
- Jerkass Woobie: William and the other kids are jealous of Margot and are mean to her but it's not hard to feel for them when they get to experience the sunshine and realize that they're not going to get it again for seven years.
