Be afraid!

Always Fear is the superpower to induce and manipulate fear in a living creature. Fear is the emotion that comes when there is danger present. It can leave beings paralyzed if they can't overcome this feeling. Others' fear can even empower some beings. Sometimes, users of this power might bring whatever a person's fear to life to spark the emotion. One way to counter this is by using courage, as it is not the absence of fear; it is there despite it.

Examples of Always Fear include:

Anime and Manga

• Nurarihyon no Mago's Yokai have an ability called Osore (that translates into fear) unique to each species. This power stems from humans fearing them and works by exerting pressure to manipulate emotions towards fear.
• Bleach: Äs Nodt is a Quincy given the Epithet of 'F'-'The Fear' as part of the Wandereich's Sternritter. His unique ability allows him to use his thorn Spirit Weapons to pierce his opponents and make them fear him.
  • Gerard Valkyrie can use his ability, The Miracle, to empower himself with people's fear of being unable to destroy him and use that to convert damage to make him larger and mightier.

Comic Books

• Parallax embodies fear in the DC Universe and allows him to control fear and Yellow Energy on the Emotional Electromagnetic Spectrum. He is also the power source of the Sinestro Corps that use the fear of others to power their rings.
• Travelers of Dreamland gain their power by conquering their fear in a dream; thus, they are based on it.

Film

• Rise of the Guardians' Pitch Black thrives on the fear from children where he can even gain insight into what they fear personally and mentally manipulate them.

Literature

• Pennywise The Dancing Clown or IT is a creature that enjoys making his victims feel fear before he eats them due to how he describes 'salts the meat.' IT can shapeshift into people's fear or manipulate them to feel terror by casting illusions. 

Live-Action TV

• Charmed: Barbas is the Demon of Fear, where he can make people experience their fears to the point they can die from the shock.

Oral Tradition, Folklore, Myths and Legends

• Greek Mythology's Pan claimed credit for scaring the Titans when they assaulted Olympus and inspired panic in the heart of others on different occasions as a part of his namesake.

Tabletop Games

• Dungeons and Dragons' Fear spell projects a phantasmal visage of a target's worst fear.

Video Games

• Diablo is the Lord of Terror and possibly the most powerful demon of them all. He has the power to influence victims to feel crippling fear by using their worst ones against them. He can even manifest them into living creatures and empowered by the smallest amount of fear.

Western Animation

• In Miraculous: Tales of Ladybug & Cat Noir, Mylène is akumatized into Horrificator that can become stronger and larger when she scares someone.
• Ghostforce: Ghosts can get Boo Energy to get stronger by scaring humans.
