- Downplayed in the Duck franchise. After many years without a definitive answer, we finally know who Huey, Dewey and Louie's mother is: Della Duck, who wasn't around until now because she took a prototype spaceship to the Moon and got stranded there. However, we still don't know who their father is (assuming they weren't born out of wedlock).
- Trini's mom in Molly of Denali. We know she has a dad who runs the library and a grandma somewhere (in Texas), but her mom wasn't mentioned. We do get an explanation later in the show where Trini's mother is in the military.
