  • Broken Base: Mainly concerning the permanent Art Evolution the series had.
  • Crowning Moment of Awesome: Principal Rotwood at the end of "The Rotwood Files".
    • Rose's Heroic Sacrifice that destroys the Huntsclan for good.
    • Haley's Calling the Old Man Out speech in "Being Human".
    • Jonathan gets one in "The Long Weekend" and later in "Bite Father, Bite Son." The normally bumbling human dad fights to protect Jake from the Jersey Devil and vampires, respectively. He later helps save the day in the series finale as well.
    • Jake slamming The Huntsman into an elevator door in Homecoming.
  • Crowning Moment of Heartwarming: In "The Long Weekend," Jonathan explains why he protected Jake from the Jersey Devil (which he assumed to be a bear): "Father code." Later on, Jake refers to his dad as his hero.
    • Jake and Rose's kiss in both "The Academy" and "Hong Kong Longs".
  • Crossover Ship: A rare canon example, Lao-Shi falls in love with Mrs. Hasagawa in the Lilo and Stitch: The Series episode "Morpholomew", but has to leave her when he goes home to New York.
  • Does This Remind You of Anything?: The "Hong Kong Longs" plot with Jake and Rose bares several similarities with the Teen Titans episode "Things Change" of course the former has a much better ending than the latter.
  • Ear Worm: He's cool, he's hot like a frozen sun...
  • Evil Is Sexy: According to Fury: "Wow. I am hot."
  • Growing the Beard: The 2nd season has been considered an improvement from season 1 due to a tighter focus on a larger narrative and character development, as well as the humor being snappier and better integrated.
  • Harsher in Hindsight: Rose knowingly and willingly committed mass genocide by wishing for the destruction of the Huntsclan. Her voice actor, Mae Whitman also voiced Katara from Avatar: The Last Airbender, at the same time, in fact. Katara's close friend Aang, the titular character, was the last of his kind due to the mass genocide of his people. This is made all the harsher when one takes into account that Aang was in love with Katara, though many prefer her with the Dante Basco character...
  • Nightmare Fuel: The Kelpie could qualifiy.
  • The Scrappy: Trixie is a bit too much for most people.
    • As well as Huntsboys #88 and #89. Veered into Creator's Pet territory after the Hunstmen as a whole were killed off, but the two continued to appear anyway.
      • Then again it seems that the wish only affected natural Huntsman with the dragon mark and the Huntsboys don't have any marks.
  • Tear Jerker: The entire ending of "Homecoming". The ending of "Ski Trip" as well.
  • Too Good to Last: Well compared to most of Disney's lineup, it certainly counts.
  • The Woobie: Rose.
    • Jake has his moments.
