Laven[]

File:Character Image.jpg

Caption

A man who was unknowingly cast into the MGE universe, without much of his memories.

Tropes exhibited by this character include:
  • Anti-Magic: Played with. Although Laven is highly resistant to magic in the world he is not completely. Which does save his life multiple times however but during the second volume this becomes Blessed with suck when it's discovered that this resistance also affects healing magic which almost gets Laven killed.
  • Battle Couple: Is this with basically every single member of his harem. Although at first he was pretty weak in the later volumes thanks to some training with Rose Laven gets decently strong.
  • Chick Magnet: Laven is really good at accidently seducing women either due to magic messing with his mind or his own heroics causing the girl to fall in love with him.
  • Katanas Are Just Better: Averted Trope. He actually starts the story with that appears to be a european blade of some kind. The picture of which is here. Right now Rose is using it.
  • Mysterious past: Laven has no idea what his personal history is and the reader only gets it in small hints though dream sequences.
  • Straight Man: Often plays this role with the other character due to his serious personality.
  • Unwanted Harem: At first he doesn't want to be in a relationship with anybody but thanks to the fact he is incredibly attractive to monster girls women just keep throwing themselves at him. By this point he has five separate girls on him.

Rose[]

File:Rose(Sud) LQ.jpg

A salamander mercenary, who quickly became infamous due to her brutal fighting style.

Tropes exhibited by this character include:
  • Bare Your Midriff: Her outfit has this as a feature.
  • Beware the Nice Ones: Normally to both Laven and the rest of his harem Rose is at worst argumentative and brutish. However if you get her angry in ways such as hurting Laven then Rose will show you why in the trope below she is known as the Thorne Knight.
  • The Dreaded: Although Rose is about as terrifying as a golden retriever, before the story Rose was feared across the land. She was a mercenary who was known for changing the outcomes of entire wars by her own skill alone and as effect she earned a reputation of a fearsome and terrifying warrior said within story to be comparable to the monsters of the last demon lord.
  • Playing with Fire: As a Salamander this is one of her species most powerful abilities. She can easily survive swimming in lava and can even give other characters this heat immunity.

Shoshanah []

File:Susan -LQ- (.less).jpg

An anubis which Laven meets after falling into a tomb.

Tropes exhibited by this character include:
  • Little Bit Beastly: For the most part however she's more beastly than most on this list because her arms and legs are covered in fur.
  • The Medic: She's the only person in the group who can heal people. She heals Laven a lot.
  • They Call Me Mr. Tibbs: It is very common for characters to call Shoshanah names like Hannah or Susan. Much to her displeasure.
  • Older than they look: A lot older. Other than Ba'el Shoshanah is by far the oldest of the group. Although the story has not given a precise age given that she was alive when the forgotten kingdom was around that puts her to at least thousands of years old.
  • Power Tattoo: The exclamation points on her stomach glow whenever she uses her magic.
  • Religion Is Magic: Her powers do sometimes appear to come from her gods.
  • Squishy Wizard: Shoshanah is by far the physically weakest of the entire group. This evens out because, other than Ba'el, Shoshanah is the only person who can use magic and understands it to a fine degree.

Chris[]

A wyvern who used to work for Violetta's Dragoon Knights. After her rider failed to mount her, Chris ran off into the Mountains.

Tropes exhibited by this character include:
File:Chris (Nen).png
  • In-Series Nickname: No one really uses it but she gave herself the knight's name Christophaclies. Which is used in the original websites character page.
  • Large Ham: Not the largest ham but very much likes to boast how she will serve JUSTICE to the evil doers around.
  • Super Mode: Although it more closely resembles a heroic version of being Scaled Up, Chris does have the ability to turn into a giant fire breathing lizard. Quite obviously Chris becomes much stronger and tougher than she normally is. Along with being able to carry larger things and faster than she would be able to when she normally is.
  • The Big Girl: Chris is by far the largest member of the main cast while also most likely being the physically strongest if magic is not taken into account.
  • Tiny Guy, Huge Girl: Chris is by far the tallest of Lavens group at 208 Cm tall.

Minte[]

An Arc Assassin who became infamous for her steel-like armor, extremely sharp, wrist mounted swords, and her cold, unrelenting behavior. The Grand Council sends Minte to take care of Laven and his girls, but Shoshana springs a trap that allows Laven to dive into her traumatic past.

Tropes exhibited by this character include:

Ba'el[]

A baphomet Laven stumbled upon after being warped away to cave by her former master, The Crone.
