- When Mikasa initiates the first death of a Titan in the series.
- The defeat of the Titans in the supply warehouse. The human side did not suffer any casualties.
- When one particular Titan begins killing other Titans. Doubly so when it is revealed that it was the previously thought deceased Eren who comes out of its disintegrating body, revealing he did all of that.
- Chapter 23. Usually, when you are grabbed by a 15m-class Titan, especially one that is a "Human in Titan Flesh", you are effectively dead. That is not so in the case of Ryner, who forcibly slices the Titan's fingers off to escape, and make off with Armin.
- Chapter 30. Rivaille proves why he's Humanity's strongest soldier by effortlessly slicing apart the Female Titan. Stabbing both her eyes was just one of the first things he did.
