Two mostly-unrelated video games that share a name and a bit of history:
- The original arcade game developed in 1980, and the first popular game to feature 3D graphics.
- A 1998 game developed by Activision based upon the original game, but also largely incorporating FPS and RTS elements. Also spawned a sequel.
There is also a PSP "remake" developed by Paradigm and released in 2006. The thin plot involves a NATO-mandated competition between different nations. It's a competitive Vehicular Combat shooter mostly centered around local multiplayer.
