- In "Doomie's Romance", the failed attempt at bringing Pinkie (the Mayor's former car) to life causes Doomie to sob uncontrollably. It brings Lydia to tears, but when Doomie's tears bring Pinkie to life, it causes B.J. to get emotional as well (though he refuses to admit it).
- In "Oh, Brother!", the fact that B.J. is The Unfavourite compared to his sickeningly sweet younger brother Donny really gets to him and, when he mistakenly thinks Lydia also prefers Donny over him, it just about sends him over the Despair Event Horizon.
