These things about Ben 10 (2016) are subjective - not everyone will agree with all of them.
- Character Rerailment: Ben and Vilgax are written much more like they were in the original show than any of its sequels.
- Complaining About Shows You Don't Watch: Fans of Ben 10: Alien Force/Ben 10: Ultimate Alien will tell you all the time on Fanfiction.net about how much they hate the reboot while also mentioning that they refuse to watch it.
- Continuity Lock Out: The show does seems to assume that the viewer knows enough about Ben 10 to jump in. It notably starts In Medias Res, not explaining how Ben got the Omnitrix until Season 2's "Ben Again and Again".
- Fanfic Fuel: The "Alien Worlds" shorts finally give fans a look at life on alien homeworlds.
- Fanon: The general fan theory for Alien X's Adaptational Wimp is that the alternate Ben doesn't have full control, being resisted by one or both of the other personalities.
- Growing the Beard: Vilgax's arrival is generally agreed to be when the show steps into its own.
- Never Live It Down: The Lighter and Softer art-style was more than enough for some haters to instantly brand the reboot as a show for preschoolers.
- So Okay It's Average: Not the worst show in the world, but also, it could have been a bit better.
- Uncertain Audience: While the show is arguably Ben 10's best success at netting Multiple Demographic Appeal, it does leave one wondering who the show is for. It's much Lighter and Softer and has many slapstick gags for younger viewers yet also has many What Do You Mean It's for Kids? moments, Mythology Gags and Myth Arcs for the older audiences.
