Best Coast is an American indie rock band based in Los Angeles. As of early-2019, the band consists of Bethany Cosentino (who writes all of the band's songs and fronts the group) and multi-instrumentalist Bobb Bruno. When they tour, they're joined by Brett Mielke, Joe Bautista (the guitarist from the band "Whirr"), and Dylan Wood.
The band is recognizable for their fuzzy, low-fidelity sound in the vein of Surf Rock.

- Kindhearted Cat Lover: Bethany would rather talk about her cats than her music. Her cat Snacks is on Crazy For You's cover.
- Love It or Hate It: A few weeks before Crazy For You was released, "Boyfriend" was offered as Free Song of the Week on iTunes. The hate it got from pop/non-indie fans was surprising, even though iTunes had previously offered other indie songs before.
