  • Before making a single edit, Tropedia EXPECTS our site policy and manual of style to be followed. Failure to do so may result in deletion of contributions and blocks of users who refuse to learn to do so. Our policies can be reviewed here.
  • All images MUST now have proper attribution, those who neglect to assign at least the "fair use" licensing to an image may have it deleted. All new pages should use the preloadable templates feature on the edit page to add the appropriate basic page markup. Pages that don't do this will be subject to deletion, with or without explanation.
  • All new trope pages will be made with the "Trope Workshop" found on the "Troper Tools" menu and worked on until they have at least three examples. The Trope workshop specific templates can then be removed and it will be regarded as a regular trope page after being moved to the Main namespace. THIS SHOULD BE WORKING NOW, REPORT ANY ISSUES TO Janna2000, SelfCloak or RRabbit42. DON'T MAKE PAGES MANUALLY UNLESS A TEMPLATE IS BROKEN, AND REPORT IT THAT IS THE CASE. PAGES WILL BE DELETED OTHERWISE IF THEY ARE MISSING BASIC MARKUP.

  • In With Strings Attached, after successfully restoring the Vasyn to Ketafa, the four are informed that they can't take their magic home with them. Whereas John and Paul are pleased because they were fretting about returning to Earth as Blessed with Suck, Ringo is devastated, because he was profoundly transformed by his magic and had all kinds of plans for using it. He ends up clinging to the hope that the four will be given a chance to use it again in the future, making this a rare book where the characters actually ask for a sequel.
  • At the end of Bittersweet, just when you think Pinkie's alive again, she's only there to tell everyone to move on. In other words, Pinkie Pie got Killed Off for Real.
  • The Katawa Shoujo fanfic Reconciliation. Hisao dies of a heart attack, devastating both his wife Lilly and Hanako, and preventing Hanako from apologizing to him. However, Hanako and Lilly renew their friendship, and Hanako later gets into a relationship with her publicist Sho.
  • Engine Sentai Go-Onger: 10 YEARS PRELUDE feat. Kamen Rider Build adapts the whole final episode of Kamen Rider Build with the Go-Ongers and the remaining members of Team Build and Goro's party defeating the Big Bad and merging the two Earths (the main continuity and Build's parallel world) and restored the Braneworlds destroyed by Kai/Evol Ophiuchus. Like in Build's final episode, after the merger, the people Sento met are alive and well and living much happier lives with no memory of him, except for Banjou along with Goro's party. The Go-Ongers, however, no longer remember everything that happened in the story, and the Eleki Clan Zontark are revived; thus continuing their story in 10 Years Grand Prix. In the epilogue, Sento and Ryuga part ways from Goro and company and went on to start with their lives in the new world.
  • The last chapters of Taki Gaiden: The Kunoichi Who Leapt Through Time is an alternate ending to the Kamen Rider Zi-O canon. Swartz is murdered by Cervantes, in the process erasing Geiz, Tsukuyomi, and Fubuki from existence, as the former is in fact the orchestrated the events involving Oma Zi-O. Taki and Zi-O face Cervantes at the summit of Astral Chaos, Cervantes is defeated when Sougo finally became the demon king he's destined to be, but Inferno surfaces. Sougo then sacrifices himself, taking a killing blow meant for Taki. He then transfers what's left of Oma Zi-O's powers to her to defeat Inferno and ultimately repair the damages to both the Kamen Riders' and the Soulcalibur timelines. And just like in the final episode of Zi-O, Geiz, Tsukuyomi, Time Jackers Heure and Ora are alive and became Sougo's schoolmates; Taki and Woz are the only ones who have memory of the events of the story. In the epilogue, when Taki returns back to her time to settle the matter with her Archnemesis Dad Toki, Taki manages to get her closure as she defeats Toki and her former master making peace with her before passing away. Taki decides to stay in 2019 and ends up marrying Goro, thus Fubuki is most likely going to be born in the future.
    • On the Soulcalibur side of the story, thanks to Taki resetting the timeline, Kilik and Xianghua succeeded in defeating Nightmare and destroying Soul Edge as in the game canon, freeing Siegfried from the sword's control. However, Siegfried is still going to become Nightmare again. That said, with no more time paradoxes affecting the space-time continuum; means that those characters to name a few who gained a more positive outcome had it taken away:
      • Maxi's crew stay dead. But Maxi got his revenge on Astaroth, only to be mortally wounded by the ax-wielding giant out of spite with Kilik and Xianghua unaware of his fate.
      • Raphael isn't going to stop at nothing in finding Soul Edge, all for the sake of creating his twisted world for Amy's sake, that would lead him to become a vampire. And, Amy is still predestined to become Viola.
