A 2002 movie.

After the events of the last movie, our protagonist has become a masked vigiliante, and is seeking a cure for his modifications. His boss, a giant Brain In a Jar, wants him back, and sent his best super-soldier, Lang, to bring him back alive, and kill the scientists who may cure Black Mask.

Tropes used in Black Mask 2: City of Masks include:
  • Lego Genetics: Moloch spliced the DNA of several animals, mostly reptilians, with professional wrestlers.
  • Only Known by Their Nickname: The professional wrestlers are never called other than their kayfabe names, with the exception of Ross/Hellraiser and Dan Martinez/Iguana.
  • Pro Wrestling Is Real: Averted. Before attacking Hellraiser, Iguana mentions Hellraiser putting him over, a pro-wrestling term which basically means one pro-wrestlers allowing another to defeat him so the reputation of his opponent can increase.
  • Superpower Meltdown: What happens with people who have their DNA mixed with animals. It doesn't happens to plants, through a vague explanation involving plants producing energy, which has to do with photosynthesis.
