Blessings are holy rites that are given to a person from divinity. They are usually rewards given by gods as a favor from them. Blessings are typically beneficial to the person, but there are cases where they are harmful. Different faiths have blessings given to people by a holy man. A prime example is a priest can act as a proxy for divinity through rituals. In media, they are seen as supernatural power or magic gifted by the gods; sometimes, they work as plot devices.

- As pictured above, from Goblin Slayer, Clerics can use Miracles, magic bestowed by deities, that can be used for support, defense, and offense. However, these deities can rescind a Miracle if used outside its purpose.
- In Seven Deadly Sins, the Goddess Clan can use their divine power to boost and cure the body of physical damage and afflictions.
- The Supreme Deity made four blessings known as Graces to four Goddesses down as the Four Archangels, giving them a unique power while increasing their other attributes.
- Noragami's Regalias are spirits that gods take under their wing and can transform into a sacred weapon or accessory for a god to use.
- In Highschool DxD, Holy Power is a unique ability that originates from God and is used by Angels. They use it as a weapon against impure beings like Devils, which is effective against them.
- Holy Swords are weapons infused with Holy Power and are the ultimate weapons against Devils and other creatures. They can be wielded by Humans with a large amount of Light Attribute and carry unique abilities while changing based on their wielder.
- Different gods also can give their blessings, such as the Shinto Kami gives godsends which bestow spiritual powers.
- Fate/EXTRA CCC Fox Tail's Saber (Suzuka Gozen) has the Noble Phantasm: Blessing of Wisdom. It comes from her Shoutouren, a silver sword from Mañjuśrī that can give her the wisdom of the bodhisattva.
- In A Certain Magical Index, Saints are individuals on the Magic Side with attributes like the Son of God, thus drawing on his power. This means they have superhuman powers and a larger amount of mana than the average magician.
- Danmachi has Gods and Goddesses who can bestow Falna on their respective Familia. Falna is grace given to Familia members that can increase their Status to grow stronger while giving different Abilities, Magic, and Skills.

- In Coco, the deceased can give their blessings to their relatives if they come to the Land of the Dead.

- The Percy Jackson series' Gods can give their blessings to people, granting abilities and traits related to the deity.

- Hinduism has different blessings based on various rites and rituals related to the Dharma.
- Rabbinic Judaism has berakhah, a prayer to gain Yahweh's blessings for a ceremony or other activities such as eating food.
- In the Bible, God can give blessings to people to people favored by the deity. There is also an interpretation of God's blessings can be either positive or negative, such as being put through damnation.
