• Awesome Music: The score. Mainly the bit of music playing during the Next Time trailers.
  • The Ear Worm of an opening and ending could also count.
    • Especially the full version of the opening.
• Complete Monster: The guys that are trying to hunt down Marika during the Nebula Cup race. They know she's in one of the dinghys but don't know which one, so they try to Kill'Em All. Note that the racers are all children!
• Crack Ship: Chiaki/Parfait. Given her Les Yay with Marika, some have suggested a three-way relationship. Four-way if you include Gruelle. Just three consenting girls and a consenting chocolate desert.

• Ear Worm: Holy GOD, the opening theme! It's like J-pop on speed, but damn is it catchy!
  • Don't forget the Ending theme as well. It's got a really nice techno beat to it.
  • And this little song, which is essentially the Yacht Club's leitmotif.
• Launcher of a Thousand Ships: Marika, so much in the yuri fandom.
• Les Yay: Quite subtle aside from Jenny and Lynn. Marika/Chiaki. Marika/Gruelle skirt. Marika thought the miniskirt on the suit was too short ^{[dead link]}. Gruelle argued vehemently that it was perfectly fine. Marika/Mami. No wonder some fans joke about Marika's "harem".
• Romantic Two-Girl Friendship/Ship Tease: No puns intended. Between Marika and Gruelle. Misa at one point even sees them as prince and princess as they infiltrate the ghost ship.
• Shipping: The anime has gotten some attention from the yuri fandom thanks to its large amount of female cast and the fact that Word of God stated that there is no romance. Yuri fans presumed that he meant by "there is no male/female romance." And with that said, Marika gets shipped with a lot of girls, specifically Chiaki, Gruelle, Grunhilde, and Mami. Interestingly enough, Marika and all those girls are seen together in one part of the ED sequence.
• X Meets Y: Uchuu Senkan Yamato meets One Piece.
