Flip-Flop of God: Is this film a full Continuity Reboot or isn't it? It wasn't at first, then became one, then Lorenzo Di Bonaventura said it wasn't, then Hasbro said it was "a new storytelling universe", then Bonaventura said the Bayverse will be continued, then, a week later, said that Bumblebee was a new timeline.
A Deleted Scene had Megatron, in a G1-style body, frozen by Sector Seven beneath the Hoover Dam.
IDW's prequel comic hints that the film had quite a different plot at one point. Bumblebee was working with British Intelligence and Blitzwing was his Arch Enemy, having been the handler of Diabla, a Decepticon spy that Bumblebee had befriended. Literally nothing in the comic lines up with the film's plot.
