This fanfic features examples of:

• Actor Allusion: Daniel Radcliffe as Hiver in the English dub. Guess who else has jet-black hair and wears glasses a lot...
  • This also applies to the Japanese version. Kensho Ono (Hiver's Japanese voice) dubs the exact same character's voice in Japanese.
  • Also in the English dub, Emma Watson's character says "Oh, crap" in annoyance as her first profanity; similarly, another of Emma's characters says "Oh, damn" in annoyance as her first profanity. Coincidence?
    • In a completely unrelated example from the other two, Kaede wears cat ears in one episode.
      • Not to mention several episodes where Kaede calls a character (usually a villain, but occasionally another protagonist) a "piece of crap". Bonus points for the original Japanese line always being rendered as "Kono kusomushi!" A Precision F-Strike late in the series completes the allusion.
• Bare Your Midriff: All the Cures do this.
• Berserk Button: Natsuko has one just like Yoko's: break stuff and die.
• Blow You Away: Cure Pumpkin.
• Catch Phrase: Expect Kaede to say "crap" or a variation thereof at least once in most episodes, if not all of them. For example:

"Oh, crap." "Now the crap's really hitting the fan." "You piece of crap." "Anyone want to tell me what that piece of crap is doing here jumping me in the middle of class!?" "I feel like jumping the next piece of crap to try to surprise us like that!" "What the crap is going on here?" "OH YEAH! HOLY CRAP, THIS IS QUITE THE SURPRISE!" "I'm not going to take any more crap from you!" "It would seem as though, as Kaede would say, our opponent has nothing but utter crap for brains." (spoken by Suzume, of all people; Kaede gets a laugh out of that one)

• Dishing Out Dirt: Cure Papillon.
• Dragged Into Drag: Printemps and Hiver are enrolled at the Cures' school after they get jumped in the middle of class. The former actually enjoys himself a bit too much. The latter? Not so much. This even leads to a suggestion of Schoolgirl Lesbians for anyone who doesn't know their secret, due to the romantic relationships formed between the mascots and two of the Cures.
• An Ice Person: Cure Glacier.
• Magic Skirt: Cure Glacier.
• Megane: Printemps and Hiver in human form. The latter is an Actor Allusion for his English voice actor. Both also make convincing Meganekkos during school hours.
• Nonuniform Uniform: Kaede wears Tights Under Shorts with her school uniform in lieu of a skirt.
• Oh Crap: Serves as Kaede's first profanity. Also doubles as a stealth Actor Allusion in the English dub.
• One-Gender School: What the girls go to. Printemps and Hiver start going to the same school midway through the series after the Cures get jumped during school hours.
• Playing Against Type: Subverted; Eri Kitamura still voices a Rich Bitch here. However, this time it's a Jerkass Facade.
• Playing with Fire: Cure Raven.
• Precision F-Strike: "PLEASE HURRY, YOU PIECE OF SHIT!" Notable as one of the strongest profanities to ever be spoken in a series from Cure Wish 8.
• Production Posse: In the Japanese version, Cures Raven and Pumpkin and Princess Persephone are voiced by Kore wa Zombie Desu ka? veterans.
• Rich Bitch: Suzume seems this way... at first.
• Sensitive Guy and Manly Man: Printemps and Hiver. Guess which one is more enthusiastic about having to wear a skirt...
• Shout-Out: Kaede basically does what Momiji does during his first year in high school.
• Sixth Ranger: Aurora Borealis
• Tights With a Skirt: An option for the students at the school. Some of them take this option, and Hiver is understandably peeved when Sakura gets white tights for him and Printemps to wear with their new uniforms.
  • Tights Under Shorts: Kaede, on the other hand, wears this with her school uniform.
• Tomboy and Girly Girl: Kaede and Natsuko.
• Who Wears Short Shorts?: Kaede's school uniform incorporates this, as does her Cure Pumpkin costume.
