- Alas Poor Scrappy: As creepy/annoying they were, the reveal they were dead puppets used by gods to torture Charlie, invoked some sympathy for Pink and Blue.
- Alternate Character Interpretation: Quite a lot, one of the most obvious being the proposition that the two unicorns are in fact a pair of sadistic psychopaths bent on psychologically torturing Charlie through their facade of being sickening cutesies. See the Wild Mass Guessing page for more. Would be confirmed in the last two episodes where two spirits used them as meat puppets to torture him.
- Drinking Game: Try watching all three of them in a row, taking a drink every time Charlie is named.
- Ear Worm: All songs are, but "In The Ocean Blue" deserves a honorable mention.
- Everyone Is Jesus in Purgatory: Charlie indulges in this in the third episode, when he conjectures that he's already dead and the other two unicorns are his eternal punishment.
- Memetic Mutation: "Shun the non-believer!"
- Squick: The pink and blue unicorns ask Charlie to grab on to their absurdly long tongues twice in the third video. This is Charlie's reaction.
- Tearjerker: The flashback to when Pink and Blue were possessed. Pink leaves Blue for a moment to investigate a weird noise, they come back possessed acting the way we know them to act. Blue (pre-possessed) sounds genuinely shaken/worried for their friend, before they get possessed. Poor things got their lives taken in away in a flash.
- Ugly Cute: The sea... goat... thing. Which looks a lot like Capricorn.
Charlie: I can't tell if you're adorable or creepy...probably gonna go with creepy. |
