Playable Characters:[]

Dave[]

  • Attention Deficit Ooh Shiny: Dave gets bored very easily.
  • Brilliant but Lazy: Dave barely tries at his job and he's recognized world-wide for his programming abilities. Imagine if he cared enough to actually put effort into his job.
  • Companion Cube: Wrath of Bong, Dave's massive bong.
  • Jerkass: Dave freely admits he is a major one, he just doesn't care much.
    • Moreover, you can just tell that Dave has no other friends apart from Jerry. Strangely enough, neither does Jerry, but it could be somewhat justified since their relationship is one of the few on the show that isn't at best Vitriolic Best Buds.
  • Jerk with a Heart of Gold: if it doesn't have a negative impact on him, and occasionally when it does, he actually does kind gestures for the rest of the cast. Once in a while.
  • Karma Houdini: usually. See above.
  • Loveable Sex Maniac
  • Manipulative Bastard: His most grievous offense is when he gets completely trashed at an office party, blames Jerry for his wrongdoings, and cons him out of his two-week paid vacation to Hawaii.
    • However, he gets his comeuppance at the end when he gets drugged, kidnapped and likely raped by the KITT Expy.
    • Seeing as how he pulled it off so well, he might have become a Magnificent Bastard.
  • The Stoner: Stand out when we later find out most of the cast are stoners.

Jerry[]

  • Ambiguously Gay / Ambiguously Bi: His hero-worship of various gaming icons has been called out on reaching homoerotic creepiness levels, and his infatuation with Mary has crossed into Sweet on Polly Oliver. However, he has had hetero-sex several times.
  • Beware the Nice Ones: When he's pushed too far, Jerry is not one to be taken lightly.
  • Bring My Brown Pants: Jerry wets himself whenever he's really excited, nervous, or scared.
  • Butt Monkey: Whether he or Todd has it worse depends on the episode.
  • Decoy Protagonist: At first, he seems like main character potential. Somewhat more sane and well liked by the rest of the cast. However, more A-plots and interactions revolve around Dave.
  • Has Two Mommies: They made two jokes about Jerry's Mothers death in season 1. In season two it was revealed his parents were divorced and his mother entered a relationship with another woman.
  • "No Respect" Guy
  • Only Sane Man: He's the only one in that company besides Mary who cares more about his job than whatever goofy events are happening around him.

Bob "Big T" Larrity[]

  • Bad Boss
  • Black Widow: marries for money, kills the wife, stuffs them and keeps them in his office.
  • Cloudcuckoolander: Expect "?????" to pop up on the bottom of the screen whenever Larrity starts rambling. He also nearly sabotaged his own mission to rescue Benny all for the sake of "Always keep 'em guessin'."
  • Cool Old Guy
  • Crazy Prepared: Wearing a bulletproof vest is one thing, but how many people bulletproof the glass to a vending machine? Also he keeps a Hitler Clone in the break room freezer as "insurance".
  • Dirty Old Man
  • Executive Meddling: Business decisions are usually only made by what interests or is most profitable to him. How does the company turn any kind of profit with Mr. Larrity's business-making decisions? By him having rare moments of epic success.
  • Gold Digger: How he started his personal fortune.
  • Jerk with a Heart of Gold: Bad as he is, Larrity does have his moments. He will praise his employees when he feels they've done a good job, and he usually thinks of Benny like a son.
  • Loveable Sex Maniac
  • Metaphorgotten, all the time.
  • Obfuscating Stupidity: he may be insane, but he's not a moron. He knows nothing about games, but he knew to switch the company stickers on the E.T. games because that's how bad it was.
  • Racist Grandpa: however, see below.
  • Stay in the Kitchen: Mr. Larrity has a very chauvinistic attitude towards women, particularly Mary and Clare. Not to mention he refers to his many ex-wives as "Mrs. Larrity Number X"
    • However, he does refer to Mary and Black Steve as the only responsible adults in the building, and does show an appreciation for Clare's skill at manipulation.
      • Then again, he refused to released Mitch's game when he learned Mitch was Mary, saying he would rather go broke than sell a game with a woman's name on it.
  • Xanatos Gambit: Larrity creates a series of overly ridiculous plans that make no sense whatsoever, like in "E.T". Scary thing is, they always work.

Black Steve[]

  • Angry Black Man
  • Bob From Accounting: discounting the "Black" part, he would be "Steve from Accounting". Then again, his name's not Steve.
  • Everyone Calls Him "Barkeep": He's been called "Black Steve" his whole life. Whether or not there's any other Steve. And his name isn't even Steve.
  • Hypercompetent Sidekick: apart from being exceptionally talented as an accountant, he can also program games on par with the rest of the cast (the first thing we know about him), is a(n under)world renowned fighter, and is almost as talented at killing people as Mr. Larrity. He also is usually able to sidestep most of the problems that befall the rest of the cast.
  • Ivy League: went to Dartmouth.
  • Token Minority
  • Verbal Tic, you ignorant white bitch.
  • Vitriolic Best Buds: With Larrity. Two opposing racist caricatures bonding over their love of shooting everything.

Benny[]

  • Competence Zone: Subverted. Benny is the youngest character at 7, and knows a lot more than most kids should know his age.
    • He potentially has connections to some kind of organized crime.
  • Ethnic Menial Labor: supposedly as befitting a Korean, game testing. However, he loves it despite the Unfortunate Implications. Gameavision is family to him.
  • From the Mouths of Babes
  • Keet: Well, he is a kid and he ingests sugar all day.
  • Only Sane Man: apart from the addictive personality to things normal people get addicted to, he's more well adjusted than more of the class. Which is actually more jarring considering his Competence Zone.

Clare[]

Clarence[]

  • Camp Gay: Clarence takes this Up to Eleven. He sings everything he says (he is the music designer), constantly glitters, floats instead of walking, and constantly talks about how much he loves sex with other men.
  • Flamboyant Gay: he also has more on-screen sexual contact than the rest of the cast combined. Most of that was in one episode.
  • Magical Queer: even on the trope's picture.

Dean[]

Mary[]

Todd[]

  • A God Am I: Todd sometimes claims to be a god. This exchange, for example:
Cquote1

Dean: Listen up! Either you, Dave or Jerry is a thief.
Todd: Mere mortals steal, but I, a god, can only create!

Cquote2
    • Usually, this revolves around his abilities at anything. Most of which are lacking.
  • Big Name Small Ego: See above.
  • Butt Monkey: usually deserves it.
  • Companion Cube / Cargo Ship: his dolls, especially Tiffany, who has more control over him than he does.
  • Mommy Issues
  • Parental Incest: Whether it's played for laughs is up to viewer interpreatation.
  • Ted Baxter: While pretty much everyone else has shown more talent than him, he somehow has the biggest office (when including the dungeon) that doesn't belong to Clarence or Mr. Larrity, so maybe he has some competence.

Guest Star Party Members[]

Steve "The Woz" Wozniak[]

"That one asian looking employee with what looks like dredlocks"[]

  • Action Survivor: unlike most unnamed characters, and even most named characters, nothing bad ever seems to happen to this guy.
  • No Name Given
  • Only Sane Man: considering how generic he is, he comes off as more normal than the rest of the group. Then again, the same could usually be said about Clare.
  • Recurring Extra: of all the employees of this supposedly quite large company, he makes by far the most appearances, and appears in most board room scenes.
