- Crossover Ship: Captain Gideon (with Elizabeth Lochley Babylon 5).
- Growing the Beard: Sadly averted. The written but unproduced mid-season episode "To The Ends Of The Earth" would have been to Crusade what "Signs And Portents" was to Babylon 5.
- Recycled Premise: It's basically Uchuu Senkan Excalibur. The planned five-year arc was going to be more like Blake's 7.
- Special Effects Failure: A version of the Drakh that appears in Season 4 of Babylon 5 which just looked bad reappeared in a couple episodes of Crusade. It had a better make-up design, with the implication that the Drakh have a Fantastic Caste System with that type as a warrior and the one we saw on Centauri Prime as a leader caste.
