- Follow the Leader: Very clearly DC's attempt to emulate the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The many Alternate Company Equivalents; such as Barry Allen and Peter Parker, Orn and Loki or the Mother Boxes and the Tesseract; make it rather obvious.
- What Could Have Been:
- Syfy's Krypton series was originally meant to be a prequel to Man of Steel before it evolved into its own show, unconnected to the DCEU.
- 2022's The Batman was originally meant to be in the DCEU before Ben Affleck left the role, causing the film to be set in its own continuity.
- Back to DC Extended Universe
