Look at some of the stuff he's come up with. Space Planes, hypersonic missiles, Magnetic Weapons usable by Powered Armor, super network intrusion things etc. at a production level instead of merely prototyping. While I don't know about what's being done in the depths of military classified-black skunk works, from what's freely known all these things are years if not decades away from being available in Real Life. Obviously, Jon's genius is superhuman.
