Dark, Brooding, Mentally Disturbed Man or "DBMD-Man" for short is a webcomic and a Deconstructive Parody of the Batman mythos. It can be read here.

The first story arc introduces us to our hero, the titular Dark, Brooding, Mentally Disturbed Man: a vigilante who's dedicated his life to fighting crime after witnessing his entire family murdered by a single madman (he used a Rocket Launcher at a family reunion), as well as his nemesis, his love interest and his sidekick, "Gee Whiz Boy". The second is a parody of The Dark Knight Returns, and features him doing battle with a Superman Expy. The third arc begins with "the death of DBMD-Man" and is something of a parody of Battle For The Cowl, or Reign of the Supermen, as it deals with his various Legacy Characters ? Dark Man, Brooding Man, Mentally Disturbed Man, Man Man and Light Cheerful Mentally Sound Man ? fighting over who gets to succeed him. It also has a subplot dealing with DBMD-Man's former sidekick, Gee Whiz Boy, becoming "Night-Cube" and starting his own team of former sidekicks in a parody of the Teen Titans.
