He mentions being the only survivor of "Delta Squad." The heroes completely wiped out a Delta squad in the second RP. Plus, Ethan mentions being "ready for whatever Dragonstorm may throw at him", before anyone tells him about Dragonstorm. Furthermore? He's also the 'Ethan' that Shelton mentioned is helping Dragonstorm smuggle medical supplies from the hospital. The description Shelton gives matches the one posted on Ethan Garner's character sheet.

Aydin was created just so Noname could avoid Interspecies Romance[]
Think about it; Aydin is essentially Corporal Stern as a Vulpine. The circumstances that occurred meant that Aimee and Corporal Stern ended up in a romantic relationship. But Noname was squicked by the idea of two sapient beings of different species in a romantic relationship so he created Aydin to fulfill that part of the plot without Interspecies Romance.
