Planet power, Fight for good!

Deer Squad (also known as 无敌鹿战队/Wúdí Lù Zhànduì) is an animated Chinese series in made in collaboration with Nickelodeon and iQIYI. It started as a short series call 'Deer Run, but later became a CGI cartoon under its current name.

The show is about four deer, Kai, Rammy, Lola, and Bobbi, who live in Central Forest surrounding a technological-city which was built by Sir Steel, a greedy man who plans to make room. Together, they help their community by saving the city from crazy robots, inventions gone haywire, and other mishaps.

Tropes used in Deer Squad include:
  • Adults Are Useless: Whenever something bad happens, the adults will just panic rather than try to solve the problem themselves.
  • All CGI Cartoon
  • An Aesop: Every episode has one.
  • Animesque: The show's setting has a few anime-like elements, such as the deer having anime eyes and powers that resemble those from anime shows such as Beyblade, or Pokémon. Their character designs also resemble chibis.
  • Art Evolution: As the series went on, the show's art-style changed and the CGI improved.
  • The Big Race: "The Great Race".
  • Base on Wheels: The Deer Squad Rescue Carrier, introduced in "Kai Express".
  • Butt Monkey/The Chew Toy: This trope happens to Sir Steel a lot.
  • Characterization Marches On: In the original Deer Run shorts, Rammy had a Grumpy Bear personality. This isn't the case in Deer Squad.
  • Color-Coded Characters:
    • Kai: Yellow
    • Rammy: Red
    • Lola: Pink
    • Bobbi: Green
    • Sir Steel: Royal Blue and Turquoise
    • Professor Scratch: Purple
  • Expy: The show is PAW Patrol and Power Rangers But it's a group of deer instead of dogs..
  • Early Installment Weirdness: There are a few differences between this show and Deer Run.
    • The deer lived in the city before it was changed to them living in a forest.
    • Lola's fur was originally purple before it became pink.
    • Kai and Rammy were originally enemies before becoming friends.
  • Floating in a Bubble: This has happened in "Bubble Debacle" when the animals suddenly got trapped inside, and again in "Ducknado" but only in the end.
  • Holographic Disguise: In "Double Trouble".
  • Monster of the Week: The deer would have to stop any machine/invention gone crazy from attacking residents and animals in every episode.
  • Odd Friendship: Sir Steel with Professor Scratch.
  • Parental Abandonment: It is unknown if each of the deer have any parents.
  • Running Gag:
    • Sir Steel's wig blows off of him whenever an invention aims at him, revealing him to be bald.
    • Ian's trumpet gets clogged when something gets stuck inside his tuba.
    • Ricardo's tail (or Ramona) will get splattered with something as he starts to sob.
    • Kai wildly drives on the lake, annoying Fifi and Sasha as they both get splashed.
  • Riddle for the Ages:
    • Why is Sir Steel rude? How did he become a Jerkass in the first place?
    • How come nobody's parents show up in this show (Sans Tina or Ian)?
    • How did the Deer even met before the current events of the series?
    • Why does Ian have ducklings when he is a male, but no mother?
  • Rescue: That's the genre of this show.
  • Sick Episode: "Captain Steel"
  • Talent Contest: "Dance of Destruction".
  • Talking Animals: The deer and other woodland animals have the ability to talk. However, Burrp, Catherine, and most of the baby animals don't have this ability.
  • Tiny Guy, Huge Girl: Sir Steel is tiny, and Professor Scartch is taller.
  • Too Dumb to Live: Sir Steel's plans to be a better hero than the Deer Squad never really work out.
  • Transformation Sequence: Used when the squad charges their powers.
  • Where the Hell Is Springfield?: It is unknown where exactly Platinum City is located.
