IT'S A D-D-D-DIGIMON!!!
Twenty Minutes Into the Future, technology has advanced where holograms can be seen casually from signs to public advertisements. There have been rumors on social spaces about supernatural beings referred to as 'Hologram Ghosts.' They are said to cause phenomena that target people, such as stealing someone's time or nocturnal disappearances. A middle school freshman, Hiro Amanokawa, attends Hazakura Academy and finds a mysterious device from his Disappeared Dad called a Digivice. With this machine, he can see creatures invisible to ordinary people called Digimon. He also gifted Gammamon, a child-like and impish Digimon given to him by his father. The two partner up with friends along the way into a mysterious world to solve the mystery of the Hologram Ghosts and more.
Digimon Ghost Game began airing on October 3, 2021 and is the ninth anime in the Digimon franchise. Different from the previous entries, it introduces horror that gives a darker tone.
- Disappeared Dad: Hokuto Amanokawa disappeared ever since an incident that left a crater in his office and the only thing left is a Digivice -V-.

- Mon Machine: The Digivice -V- is a watch-like device that can link with a certain Digimon to materialize them into the Real World. With a sequence of button presses, the Digivice can dematerialize said Digimon. It can allow Tamers to see Digimon that are invisible to the naked eye. The device can also take anyone with a Digivice -V and any Digimon in the vicinity to a dimension that resembles the real world. Another feature is that a linked Tamer can support their Digimon once they sync and can Digivolve.
- Monster of the Week: The Hologram Ghosts are Digimon that prey on humans for a particular reason that is often.
- Phantom Zone: The Digivice -V- can send its wielder, others with another one, and Digimon to a dimension that looks like the Real World. Any damage done in this zone doesn't affect the Real World and can fully materialize any Digimon within a vicinity.
- Twenty Minutes into the Future: Hologram technology is so common where you can see it just by walking on the street. There is also the existence of 7G networks available for smartphones.
- Unusually Uninteresting Sight: Due to hologram technology, the main characters' Digimon are seen as AI Holograms despite being physical and interacting with actual objects.
- Urban Legends: People have been noticing holograms around the city called 'Hologram Ghosts' such as the Sewn-Lip Man that steals a person's time.
