Disney Academy

Here. A game restricted only to Disney (or Disney-like) canons. The game takes place in a strange AU where events happen slightly differently and everyone is from the same world. Yes, that means we have Aladdin running around in the ancient land of Agrabah while Jim heads off for Treasure Planet. All these characters are invited to Disney Academy to learn and train how to defeat the mist, a mysterious force that's beginning to show up...

Sadly the community was closed on July 24th, 2011. Many tears were shed.

This game provides examples of:

• All Animation Is Disney: Sure, the name is Disney, but there are plenty of characters from non-Disney animated films/series, such as How To Train Your Dragon, The Road to El Dorado, and The Prince of Egypt.
• Anachronism Stew: The whole setting!
• Badass Boast: Any time Hiccup L. Jackson opens his mouth.
• Badass Grandpa: Lotso. Several of Puck's zombie pirates learned that he can pack a surprisingly large wallop with that little cane of his.
• Becoming the Mask: Lotso might be slowly succumbing to this when it comes to his friendship with Jane Calvin.
• Belligerent Sexual Tension: Mulan and Kuzco
• Break the Cutie: Several. Sooner or later, almost every character starts going through rough times.
  • Jasmine in particular, thanks to Mozenrath. And it only continues to get worse.
  • Especially Hiccup, thanks to being a Butt Monkey.
• Break the Haughty: As stated above, sooner or later every character goes through rough times.
  • Lotso in particular. He has it coming though, admittedly.
• Butt Monkey: Berk. The mist is always eating Berk.
  • Hiccup is this so much.
• Brutal Honesty: Tiana gives it straight to everyone, hun, an' all through a cozy Southern accent.
• Canon Foreigner: Hidan is totally a Disney character. Not from Naruto at all, no sirree!
• Crack Fic: Essentially what the entire game is. Especially what the Dear Mun and crack comm posts are.
• Darker and Edgier: Any time there's a mist event.
• Deal with the Devil: Jasmine makes a deal with Hades to save Meg's soul after Mozenrath killed her.
• Death by Adaptation: Inverted. Due to D_A's AU timeline, Mufasa is still alive. And also a deity.
  • All of the villains, pretty much.
• Decade Dissonance: Even century dissonance. The issue with having all canons take place in one world is that some (Treasure Planet) take place in a futuristic society, some (The Princess and the Frog) take place in less technologically advanced societies, and others (Aladdin, How to Train Your Dragon) take place in ancient civilizations. It makes one wonder why someone couldn't have just given Agrabah or Berk some toilets or something.
• Defrosting Ice Queen: Depending on who you ask, Helga.
• Deus Angst Machina: Seriously, Mulan? Seriously?
  • Hiccup has now taken the angst throne from Mulan.
• Devil in Plain Sight: Any villain.
• Didn't See That Coming: Did Mulan just reject Shang? Famama will have her vengeance.
• Did Not Do the Research: No, Tulio, the Chinese general is not named Eric.
• Did Not Get the Girl: Shang.
• Dodgeball Is Hell: As literal as can be, since Hades teaches PE.
• Elaborate University High
• Eternal English: Somehow, people from all countries and times still speak modern English. Funny, that.
• Even Evil Has Standards: Lotso was genuinely disgusted and outraged when Chuckles questioned if he would hurt a human child. He honestly wouldn't.
• Fetch Quest: Whenever someone gets taken by the mist.
• God Is Good: Mufasa
• Heroic BSOD: DID MICKEY JUST INVERT? OH GOD!
• Hilarity Ensues: The result of many of the memes in the crack community.
  • In game there are events like Voodoo Festivals, in which wacky spells are temporarily cast on characters (i.e. becoming older or younger, switching genders, switching bodies with another character, etc).
    • On the other hand, depending on the character or spell, hilarity sometimes doesn't ensue. Just ask Meg or Lotso.
• Horrible Judge of Character: Poor, poor Meg.
• Intergenerational Friendship:
  • Jane and Lotso
  • Nala and Chuckles
• Interspecies Romance: Goliath and Elisa will insist they're not this. Who are they kidding?
• Kiss of Death: Mozenrath gives one to Meg.
• Last Guy Wins: Mulan and Kuzco
• Lethal Chef: Charlotte La Bouff and Jane Calvin
• Living Emotional Crutch: Jane Calvin is shaping up to be this for Lotso.
• Mind Screw: The Strangelings to the characters.
• Nightmare Sequence: The mist can cause sleeping characters to go through one whenever it comes too close to the academy.
• No-Holds-Barred Beatdown: Lotso gives one to Chuckles after he discovers the clown has been trying to warn people of his true nature. Jane in particular.
• Papa Wolf: Lotso towards Jane. Little teddy bear or not, he will hurt you if you mess with her.
• Plucky Comic Relief: Ron Stoppable
• Precocious Crush: Jane has one on a mysterious older boy who went around hitting on every girl at the school. He was actually Peter Pan, who became temporally older and girl crazy due to a voodoo spell.
• Sanity Slippage: Lotso goes through this when he hallucinates seeing Jane as his ex-owner Daisy.
• Shipper on Deck: Meg, Helga, Tia. All for the same ship...
• Ship Tease: Kuzco/Mulan. Like whoa.
  • Helga/Milo, anyone?
• Ship Sinking: Mulan/Shang.
  • Mozenrath/Meg. Big time.
• Teachers Are Useless: Whenever anyone gets taken by the mist.
• Team Dad /Team Mom: Goliath and Elisa
• Tsundere:
  • Mulan and Kuzco towards each other
  • Astrid towards Hiccup (naturally)
  • Meg towards Mozenrath (before he killed her)
• True Companions: To defeat the Strangelings, you need friends. BETTER GET SOME CR GOING, EH?
• What Do You Mean Its Not Symbolic: Mufasa.
• Word Of Mufasa: Literally, in the crack comm.
• Zombie Apocalypse: Puck decided to have some fun one night by unleashing an army of undead pirates upon the school.
