Doctor Snuggles is a Dutch/British animated television series created by Jeffrey O'Kelly about a friendly and optimistic inventor named Doctor Snuggles, who has unusual adventures with his friends in a psychedelic world.
Airing originally on Britain's ITV in 1979, the 13-episode series was shown around the world, including the United States, where it aired on HBO, in syndication, and, in the late 1980s, on Nick Jr. Animation for the first half of the series was handled in Japan by Topcraft and, in the second half, in the US by DePatie-Freleng Enterprises, making this series a true International Coproduction.
Douglas Adams contributed a couple of episodes. The English-language version of the series featured Peter Ustinov in the title role.
