** It should also be noted that all the episodes that focus on the gang's past portrayed Nobita, Shizuka, Gian, and Suneo as childhood friends since kindergartens, and they have all been in the same classes since then, meaning from they perspective, the boys (and Shizuka to a degree) not being close to Dekusugi as each others can be justified as he only recently became their classmate and friend. |

* '''Nobita's Super Long Runaway from Home''' has Doraemon uses a gadget to make Tamako feels 10 minutes like one hour in order to test how she would feel if Nobita goes missing for so long. It works '''too''' well, and Tamako is reduced to sobbing while '''praying for the god''' for Nobita to return safely after (in her perspective) '''18 hours''' have passed. The 2005 remakes add that Nobita and Doraemon also feel very bad for making Tamako experiences such event, making this also a Heartwarming Event as well. |

− | * Several episodes/manga chapters show it that Gian sometimes does feel that his mom doesn't love him and always overworks him at the family's store, causing him to miss out having fun with his friends. Similarly, it is also implied in several chapters/episodes that he feels that, apart from being the most athletic of the kids, he doesn't really excel in anything compared to his friends, and that deep down, he knows that his singing and cooking skill are the worst. |

- The fact that despite Suneo and Shizuka, despite being more of the intellectual group than Gian and Nobita, are also stated many times in the story to be Broken Aces, being pressured by their mothers to study in many subjects, going to various cram schools (Suneo), having to go to piano lesson that they dislike (Shizuka). Both also needs to get very high grade in every exams and are usually scolded/punished if they don't. It's a telling that Nobita and Gian's mothers, despite being strict compared to the other two's, are more lenient toward their children providing that they put some effort into studying for the exam (30 score is the minimum standard for Nobita's mother), doing their homework, and being good children in general.
- From one perspective, Dekusugi might be someone that other boys are always envious of: smart, good looking, athletic, and popular. A careful observation shows that this may not actually be a case as, apart from Shizuka, he isn't shown to hang out with any of his peers on screen (and, as his focus episodes shows, prefers to keep any worry to himself), none of his friends refer his by his first name (even Shizuka, who's supposedly the closest friend to him), and anytime that his friends invite him to play/visit him is when they need his help either in school work or baseball (something Gian always gets Nobita to come more often than Dekisugi despite the latter's poorer record). Notably, he is missing from many of Gian's concerts (which he so far only invite his friends) and is missing from most if not all of activities, Suneo's trips, and all the grand adventures that the gang all went through (something that not even his close friend, Shizuka, invites him). Thus, all of these suggest that being him isn't really all glamorous as it seems to be.
- It should also be noted that all the episodes that focus on the gang's past portrayed Nobita, Shizuka, Gian, and Suneo as childhood friends since kindergartens, and they have all been in the same classes since then, meaning from they perspective, the boys (and Shizuka to a degree) not being close to Dekusugi as each others can be justified as he only recently became their classmate and friend.
