Eagle Riders is one of about six different adaptations of Science Ninja Team Gatchaman. It was made by Saban.
Only 13 episodes of 65 were aired in the United States, but the series enjoyed some more success in Europe and Australia, apparently.
This adaptation is unfortunately very hard to find, with one troper having searched even amongst torrents and coming up empty-handed. It is largely overshadowed by Battle of the Planets among the various Gatchaman adaptations.

- Divorced Installment: It's actually a mash-up of Gatchaman II and Gatchaman F. Because Saban did not own the rights to Battle of the Planets (or G-Force: Guardians of Space for that matter), they had to pitch their dub as an unrelated series.
- Dub Name Change: Not just the characters' names, but three of the birdstyles as well:
- Ken Washio, the Eagle - Hunter Harris, the Hawk
- Joe Asakura, the Condor- Joe Thax, the Falcon
- Jun the Swan - Kelly Jenar, the Dove
- Jinpei - Mickey Duggan (Still the Swallow)
- Ryu Nakanishi - Ollie Keewani (Still the Owl)
- Dr. Kozubaru Nambu - Dr. Thaddeus Keane
