Elmo Getting Closer to the Camera

As you can see in this picture, Elmo is getting closer to the camera and is about to rape somebody

  • Accidental Innuendo:
    • The first episode is about balls.
    • There's also an episode revolving around feet, which may be uncomfortable to watch as an adult for obvious reasons.
    • In the "Violins" episode, the animated segment "The Violin Who Loved Her Bow". "...they make beautiful music together!"
  • Ensemble Dark Horse: Even people who don't like Elmo tend to like Mr. Noodle.
  • Funny Moment: There was only one in the Teeth episode where Elmo tries to open Shade twice, and it was very hilarious. Watch it as he holds his breath to see Mr. Noodle, and Dorothy has a pair of dentures (as toys) in her fish bowl as you can see it off-screen
  • Heartwarming Moments: Some scenes in the episode Sleep are kinda nostalgic like the imagination sequence with the background music for the first part with Elmo as a flamingo sleeping on one leg, and Elmo as a squirrel sleeping in a tree nest. Another one was in the episode Pets when Elmo was a pet bird. Ah yes, the clouds in the blue sky and Elmo as a pet bird swinging away.
  • Memetic Mutation: Goddammit, Mr. Noodle!
  • Nightmare Fuel: When Elmo talks to a Tornado as part of the "Weather" epsiode. Many viewers who use to watch the show claim to be be creeped out by the segment, for just how scary the tornado happens to be.
    • Some Tickle Me Land segments can also scare viewers as well, such as the Birds episode where Elmo is a peacock and in Sleep where Elmo is a flamingo and a bat
    • The Sleep episode had Elmo getting closer to the camera lens in the picture above when he gets to go find the cymbals for the TV to wake up. Pretty creepy, right?
    • Some parts of the episode Teeth will give you nightmares as well, such as the part where Elmo has false teeth at the beginning after he gets hit by a wall of falling teeth. Scary, right?
  • Dork Age: Either this segment (or Elmo, who stars in it) is blamed by older Sesame Street fans for killing the show and putting it through one.
  • They Changed It, Now It Sucks!: The 2017 retool of Elmo's World might invoke this in some people who grew up with the previous version, especially since they changed quite a bit of the show. Comments on Youtube uploads of the segment that appeared prior to the COPPA adjustments seemed to imply that this was the case.
  • We're Still Relevant, Dammit!: The character Smartie, a talking smartphone.
