A truly fantastical and magical family
Encanto is the 60th entry in the Disney Animated Canon, directed by Jared Bush and Byron Howard, co-directed by Charise Castro-Smith and has songs written by Lin-Manuel Miranda.
The film takes place in Colombia, and revolves around a multigenerational family with magic powers called the Madrigals. 15-year-old Mirabel (Stephanie Beatriz) is the only member of her family without a magic gift, but when the magic is danger of fading away, Mirabel sets out to find out why and save her home.
