Evelyn Sanders is a German author, despite the English-looking name (the first one's real, the last one a pseudonym -- but it does start with an S). She's written several humorous family books -- one series about her own family (which started her success), another one about the nuclear family of newspaper editor Florian, his wife Ernestine "Tinchen" Barbara and their two kids Oliver and Julia. Sometimes also their extended family, like Florian's brother (named Fabian, a professor) and his wife and children, and Tinchen's brother Karsten. Also an autobiographical book about her childhood in Nazi Germany and shortly after World War Two.
She was born in 1934 and is still not dead. Since 1980, she's been writing books.
