Five Nights at Freddy's 3 is the third game in the Five Nights at Freddy's (franchise) and the final "classic" installment. You are a nameless security guard, popularly referred to as the "Fright Guard". You work as a guard and entertainer at the soon to open Fazbear Frights, which is a horror attraction cashing in on the spooky reputation of Freddy Fazbear's Pizza.
After a night of exposition from the "Phone Dude", on the second night, the "Phone Dude" tells the "Fright Guard" that he is not alone: there is an old animatronic that has come to life. He leaves, but in his place plays training tapes from the "Phone Guy", describing the suit-animatronic hybrids.

- Air Vent Passageway: The camera system has two sets of cameras, one for the rooms and another for the vents. Springtrap travels through the vents and the "Fright Guard" has to block them to thwart Springtrap.
- Dramatic Unmask: Inverted as the Purple Guy putting on the Spring Bonnie suit and getting springtrapped reveals that he is Springtrap.
- Hair-Raising Hare: The Springtrap is a bunny eared suit-animatronic hybrid with a rotting corpse inside, who is hunting down and trying to kill the "Fright Guard" and had also killed multiple children before being springtrapped.
- Support Party Member: All enemies besides Springtrap can not harm the "Fright Guard" but can hinder them instead by causing hallucinations, and turning off the cameras or audio system.
