The James Bond movie:[]

  • Crowning Music of Awesome: Both the theme tune and "A Drive in the Country". (the rest of the score, however, it's widely considered out of place for a Bond film)
  • Good Troi Episode: Even Bond fans who aren't fond of the Roger Moore era like this one. AMC recently advertised it as such.
  • Harsher in Hindsight: "Countess" Lisl was played by Australian actress Cassandra Harris, married to an up-and-coming Television actor named Pierce Brosnan. She always wanted to see him play 007; unfortunately, by the time that happened Harris had died of cancer some years prior.
  • Hilarious in Hindsight: That powered armor looks a heckuva lot like D-type equipment.
  • Ho Yay: Locque and Kriegler look and behave vaguely similar and Bibi mentions that Kriegler never shows any interest in women. Might not sound like much to go on, but that's not prevented a slightly shocking amount of slash fiction involving these two.
  • Narm:
    • "Blofeld" pleading for his life, as Bond dangles him from a helicopter:
Cquote1

Please, Mister Bond! I'll buy you a stainless steel delicatessen!!

Cquote2
    • It was apparently the film's producer, Albert R Broccoli, who came up with that line, which is supposed to be based on some kind of Mafia-slang.
    • Also, the Bomb Whistle he emits as he plummets down the chimney.
  • So Okay It's Average: This movie is far from bad, but it's really not one of the most impressive or memorable in the whole series.
  • Squick:
    • Bibi Dahl isn't very far past her mid-teens and she's not a virgin. Even Kristatos isn't aware of this.
    • And if her age and lack of virginity isn't squicky enough (she has reached the ages of consent of both Italy and Greece, if not by much), the reason we know she isn't a virgin is that she tells a man more than twice her age that while attempting to seduce him.
  • Tear Jerker: Bond visiting his dead wife's (Teresa from On Her Majesty's Secret Service) grave in the Cold Open. It's especially sad when you see the Ironic Echo "We Have All The Time In The World" is etched on her tombstone.

The Naruto fanfic:[]

  • Cliché Storm: Of almost every single bad shipping trope out there
  • Critical Research Failure: Just for starters, frogs cannot breed with raccoons.
  • Designated Villain: Sakura doesn't even get a line of dialogue, but she's painted as a horrible bitch.
  • Die for Our Ship: Sakura. Sasuke kills her offscreen, and nobody really cares.
  • Idiot Plot: A good example of the original definition of "second order Idiot Plot" since the entire AU society would only work if everyone in it was insanely stupid. Absolutely NO ONE questions the ethics of having fully sapient demi-humans as pets and livestock. The one time you'd like to see an Animal Wrongs Group, and there aren't any!
  • Possession Sue:
    • Naruto, of the purity kind. He belongs to a very rare breed, he's so beautiful everyone wants to rape him, and everyone finds his stupidity charming instead of annoying.
    • Sasuke is an extreme example of a Jerk Sue. He rapes Naruto and treats everyone like shit. Nobody so much as yells at him. To add insult to injury, we're supposed to feel sorry for him when he recounts how Itachi killed his family - just after he got through killing Sakura in the exact same manner! It's only because of his Stuishness that he wasn't put to sleep a long time ago.
  • Strangled by the Red String: Every couple.
  • The Woobie: Naruto.
  • They Just Didn't Care: Admitted many times in the author's notes.
  • They Wasted a Perfectly Good Plot: A world where humans can pervert the laws of nature to their will and keep demi-humans as slaves and pets would make an excellent setting for a Dark Fic. Sadly, it's presented as fluff.
  • Unfortunate Implications:
    • Rape is cute.
    • Semes can't help but rape people. It's in their nature.
    • Girls that make the first move are evil whores and should die.
    • It's okay to keep demi-humans as pets, even if they possess human intelligence.
    • Abortion is wrong even if going through with the pregnancy is 99% likely to kill both the mother AND the babies.
