- Riley/Maya practically ooze this from the beginning. Cory and Shawn took a few seasons to get cozy, but these two are practically in each other's pockets outright saying that they're the most important people in each other's lives. Riley/Lucas may have been canonized but to anyone who's seen the show, Riley/Maya is the Official Couple.
- The first episode has Maya thinking she should leave Riley because she's a bad girl and Riley's parents could never approve of her. She has the subway drop Riley off...and Riley promptly shoves the doors open again. A woman who's been observing the pair all that time says she did it "through the power of love."
- "Girl Meets the Truth" has Riley realize a good number of situations end up with her and Maya lying in a bed together.
- The way the Riley/Maya/Lucas triangle gets resolved? Maya realizes she was into Lucas subconsciously as a way of making sure he was good enough for Riley. After Riley and Lucas get together, Riley tells Maya that no matter what, she'll always be the most important person in her life. She even compares them to Cory and Topanga!
- Riley buys the two of them rings for Maya's birthday. They never take them off for the rest of the series.
- They call each other "peaches" and "honey."
- The first and last shots of the show? Riley and Maya holding hands.
- Lucas and Farkle have a bit of this now and then. Lucas will gladly beat the shit out of his friend and teammate for talking smack about Farkle, the only reason he doesn't is that Maya stops him.
- Zay and Lucas, too. Zay's family moved to New York because his father got a job there, but Zay implies he moved there just to be close to Lucas. Lucas also takes on a bully to protect him in his debut episode. Zay even fights Farkle for the title of Lucas' best friend.
- And yes, after all the years, Cory and Shawn still have quite the bromance.
- When Shawn first returns in "Girl Meets Home for the Holidays", Cory notes that he needs the holiday to go perfectly for Shawn and made a custom decoration "Cory and Shawn 4-EVA." Maya outright refers to Shawn as Cory's boyfriend and it seems as though Topanga agrees. She outright calls him a "LIAR!" when he claims to care more about her than Shawn.
- Rosie McGee was very eager to befriend May Clutterbucket.
