- Darker and Edgier/Cerebus Syndrome/Wham! Episode: HOLY! FUCKING! CRAP! The 75th Golden Globes of 2018 focused on the Times Up/#MeToo movements about one serious social issue: sexual harassment! In the wake of the Weinstein scandal! VIRTUALLY every famous celebrity at the ceremony wore black (as if they had just attended/left a funeral), Natalie Portman got her badass moment of awesome by calling out the Best Directors category as "all-male", and even more badass : Salma Hayek led the star-studded crowd in a chant: "Three, two, one, TIME'S UP!". This ceremony was much darker than the other pop culture awards ceremonies of 2018, being more Lighter and Softer in tone, with the star-studded crowds returning to more vibrant colors. This Golden Globes ceremony was also much, MUCH more darker than the first seventy-four more lighthearted ceremonies preceding it, as those focused on the awards and the humor a bit more, but THIS, in comparison, focuses more on the Time's Up movement and the Weinstein effect and, although not without its funny moments, has more seriousness in it.
