• Crowning Moment of Awesome: Hancock leaving at the end in order to save Mary's life, so that both can heal and get their powers back.
  • Ray gets his CMOA on as well when Hancock is down and a trigger pull away from getting his brains spread over the floor, who shows up with the axe to disarm the bad guy.
  • "My Zagnut bar versus your gun."
• Crowning Moment of Funny: When Hancock follows up on his threat to shove a guy's head up his friend's ass. It gets even funnier when the Sanford and Son theme song kicks in.
  • [shows a comic book with a picture of a spandex clad superhero on it] "Homo." [shows him another comic with a hero in red spandex] "Homo in red." [shows him a third comic with a blonde-haired hero] "Norwegian homo."
  • The annoying French kid getting thrown into the sky. Bet he'll never call anybody an asshole again.
• Crowning Moment of Heartwarming: "No Hancock, you did a good job!"
  • "Look up," provided one can overlook the gravity of the defacement of something that visible and significant.
• Hilarious in Hindsight: Ray bandies the word "change" in his Allheart pitch, in a movie with a black dude for a superhero.
• Squick: "Your head is going up his ass."
  • And dear God, he does.
    • He makes a similar threat to the carload of thieves; "Your head is going up the driver's ass, his head is going up your ass, and you drew the short stick, cause your head is going up my ass."
• Tear Jerker:

"Gotta wonder, though. What kind of bastard must I have been, that nobody was there to claim me? I mean, I'm... I'm not the most charming guy in the world, so I've been told, but... nobody?"

• They Wasted a Perfectly Good Plot: Many viewers think this about how the movie evolves. Critics even claim that the first half of the movie was the best part, as we're introduced to some lazy bum with superpowers.
  • Considering the entire latter half of it relies on Contrived Coincidence this is pretty reasonable. in addition to Hancock and Mary being ancient beings comparable to gods or angels, and become weaker when they're close.
