iAntiVirus is a roleplaying forum started by Azer and Icy. It was originally a private RP, but it was eventually opened to the public in October, 2007. The setting is in a virtual reality MMORPG with the usual formula; classes, PvP, monsters, quests, etc. However, underneath the public eye is a virtual war going on between VIRUS and FIREWALL. VIRUS is angry at the Admin for being slow to react to hackers, bots, trolls, and such that are degrading the game. Thus, VIRUS was formed to take matters with their own hands. FIREWALL was formed by the Admin to counteract VIRUS and delete the members for playing god.
Note - All character-related tropes MUST go under the Character's page. The main page should be saved for the universe in general tropes and story-line tropes due to the length this article is getting.
This Roleplay provides examples of the following:[]
- A Homeowner Is You
- Aborted Arc: This is the rather unfortunate consequence of a member either discontinuing their usage of a character or discontinuing their visits to the site.
- Actual Pacifist: Abel.
- All Your Base Are Belong to Us
- Alternate Universe
- Alternate Universe Fic
- An Adventurer Is You
- An Entrepreneur Is You
- An Interior Designer Is You
- And Your Reward Is Clothes
- Animal Motifs
- Animal Stereotypes
- Anime Hair
- Anyone Can Die
- Apologises a Lot: Abel.
- Artificial Gill
- Asskicking Equals Authority: This is the way the hierarchy system is set up in both VIRUS and FIREWALL.
- Author Avatar
- Several of the characters are self-inserts of their creators. This is intentional on their part and some of them have admitted to them being as such.
- There is also a variant of this in the sense that some of the Author Avatars are how the authors would have played Cyberpolis if it had been accessible to them. Examples of this variant are characters such as Ferrero, Rea and Kujira.
- There are also several other characters who have unintentionally become Author Avatars as they grew and developed.
- Badass Long Hair: Ferris.
- Beach Episode: This can be easily excecuted by holding a roleplay, a special event, etc. at the Summe'rian beach.
- Several times in the PvP.
- Berserk Button: Insulting Canada in front of Moose. In fact, even just cracking a beaver or hockey joke in front of him could result in blind rage.
- Betty and Veronica
- Black Magic: One of the four paths of the Awetumik, the Elemental Mage, utilises up to two different elements, of which among them is the element of 'Darkness'.
- Black Market
- Blade on a Stick: Hildr.
- Blessed with Suck: Abel.
- Blood Knight
- Most Summe'rians have a tendency towards this.
- Many members of VIRUS are also like this.
- Boom! Headshot!: This can be done by any character who uses a gun as a weapon although it is most effectively carried out by the Gunslinger Class Spa'ringians as it's their speciality.
- Boom Stick: Quite a few Awetumiks.
- Boring but Practical: Medic class Winwintarians.
- Break the Cutie: To Abel. By everyone.
- Brilliant but Lazy: Plot wise, this was the reason why Err was one of the longest running "active" subordinates.
- Brooklyn Rage: Cardinal.
- Bunny Ears Lawyer: There are quite a few characters who exhibit this type of behavior...
- Cain and Abel: Jem and Abel. Mahan and Abel too, especially since Mahan is Abel's alternate personality.
- Calling Your Attacks
- Camp Gay: Maksim.
- Capital City: Yanathrea.
- The Captain: The current and previous Overlords and Admirals of VIRUS and FIREWALL respectively.
- Captain Patriotic: Moose.
- Catgirl: Tora
- Changing Clothes Is a Free Action: HD.
- Character Class System
- Character Development
- Character Level
- Class and Level System
- Clothing Damage
- Comedic Sociopathy
- Comic Trio: The trainees of Team Abs. Kamui comes up with crazy ideas, Jin has no idea what he is doing, and Paz as the Straight Man. Slightly subverted in the sense that Paz is genuinely too entertained by the two of them to actually attempt to set things straight.
- Cross Player
- Cross Dresser: Tokiwa.
- Crouching Moron, Hidden Badass: Cardinal.
- Curtains Match the Window
- Cyberspace
- Cycle of Revenge
- Dandere: Toa.
- Dark and Troubled Past: Arguably, a lot of the characters have pretty sad RL circumstances.
- Dark Is Not Evil: Although VIRUS' uniforms are mostly black in colour, they aren't evil. Well... the majority of them aren't, anyways...
- Date My Avatar
- Deader Than Dead: When a character gets hits with a Zirus or something similar then the character is gone. Admittedly there is always the possibility of coming back as a new avatar, but the character has to start over from Level 1 and can't join till the next ERA. Ouch.
- Deadpan Snarker: Ferris.
- Deal with the Devil: Crowley.
- Death Is Cheap: Taking into account that it's a MMORPG it's a Justified Trope. For deletion, see Deader Than Dead.
- Decoy Damsel
- Toa.
- River Styx.
- Digital Avatar
- Doomed New Clothes
- Edible Theme Naming
- Tomato.
- Mango.
- Even the Guys Want Him: Xenaro.
- Everyone Is Gay
- Experience Points
- Expy: Expys of copyrighted characters are strictly forbidden.
- Facial Markings: Around half of the site's characters have these.
- Fingerless Gloves: HD.
- Fragile Speedster: Spa'ringians.
- Game Within a Game: People on the forum roleplay characters who roleplay other characters in a MMO, sometimes roleplaying as secret agents for secret organisations!
- Gender Bender: Vixen.
- Generation Xerox
- Girlish Pigtails: Willow.
- Glass Cannon: Awetumiks.
- Goggles Do Nothing: HD's.
- Gonk: Olgilda.
- Good Looking Privates
- Good Old Fisticuffs: Many Summe'rians.
- Green Eyed Red Head: HD. His hair really is more orange than red, but, hey, it still counts.
- The Gunslinger: A Spa'ringian class.
- Hair Antennae: HD.
- Have I Mentioned I Am Heterosexual Today?
- Shay.
- Spider.
- Hellish Pupils
- Elixer has violet eyes with black slits down the middle.
- Winclar has red eyes with cat-like pupils.
- Heterosexual Life Partners
- Usumori and Kuroshi.
- Mikura and Mei.
- Hit Points
- Ho Yay
- Hot-Blooded: Sabriel.
- Hot Chick with a Sword: Hildr.
- Hot Mom: Granted, since this is a game. None of the mothers loose any of their beauty.
- IProduct
- I Will Protect Her: Mei.
- In-Series Nickname
- Inexplicable Treasure Chests
- Instant Awesome, Just Add Dragons: An update which came along with ERA 21.
- The Jailbait Wait: Praline.
- Jerk with a Heart of Gold
- Rajio may be another one of those people who cusses at people 24/7, but he's really just a softie on the inside. He just has trust issues. Lots of them.
- Endemic.
- Ferris, despite his gruff and sarcastic exterior, will consciously go out of his way and risk business credibility to protect his loved ones from harm.
- Just Friends: Also see Heterosexual Life Partners.
- Arguably, the whole of Knife and Arthur Ren's real life household falls under this category, save for Robert (the player behind Nightingale).
- Jules (the player behind Maelstrom) has had rather... interesting dreams regarding Cal (Knife) and Other Cal (Arthur)...
- And let's not forget their cat and dog.
- Arguably, the whole of Knife and Arthur Ren's real life household falls under this category, save for Robert (the player behind Nightingale).
- Keet: Marconus.
- Level Grinding
- Like Brother and Sister:
- Knife and Kayden get disgusted at even the idea of dating each other. Ditto with Knife and Nephyl. And Knife and almost any other female avatar he has developed a close friendship with.
- Monochrome and Rosaline.
- Loads and Loads of Characters: AND HOW!
- Made of Iron: Summ'erians.
- Making Love in All the Wrong Places
- MMORPG: A third of the characters on the site apply to this trope.
- Masquerade Ball: There have been several of these held over the ERAs
- Meaningful Name
- The Medic: A Winwintarian Class.
- Meganekko: Treat.
- Microts: A real-world variant; One 'ERA (or 'one year') in iAnti's timeline is 6 months for everyone roleplaying.
- Subverted now with a new adjustment with the timeline come ERA 22 - One year in our world is now one year in iAnti. This is to stop the characters from aging so fast.

- Play Evil Unto Evil: FIREWALL's behavior towards VIRUS.
- Player Versus Player: One of these is held every ERA.
- Pointy Ears: Sidhe.
- Power Equals Rarity
- Put on a Bus: See Aborted Arc.
- Real Life Writes the Plot: Depending on the authors, there have been times when plot arcs were aborted or changed completely due to extenuating circumstances.
- Red Light District
- Restart At Level One: This happened to everyone after the ERA 19 reset.
- RPG Mechanics Verse: A Justified Trope. More like a video game verse though. Rokal has abused this in the past by unequiping his scarf when being strangled once. Thus leaving enough room for him to escape.
- Role Playing Game Verse
- Save Point
- Scars Are Forever
- Serious Business
- Signature Device
- Special Snowflake Syndrome: Depending on how well it's done may cross into Mary Sue territory, however the site does encourage new things.

- Status Buff: Each of the Classes have one of these.
- Stuff Blowing Up: This is just an everyday occurence in the VIRUS Base.

- Too Dumb to Fool: Dogberry, and it's only exacerbated by the fact that he can't actually speak very well.
- Took a Level In Badass: Many, many characters at various points in time. As it is a MMORPG we're talking about it is very much so a Justified Trope.
- Two Guys and a Girl: Xenaro/Nagi/Nephyl, before two of them up and left.
- Underwater City: Hyrion.
- Unified Naming System: FIREWALL vs VIRUS.
- Unresolved Sexual Tension: See Just Friends and Heterosexual Life Partners.
- Unstoppable Rage: Sum-merian's special ability ia "Rage",
- Unusual Ears: Salem.
- Villains Out Shopping
- Walking Shirtless Scene
- Wallet of Holding
- World Map
- World of Badass: Completely justified since it's a virtual game.
- You Gotta Have Blue Hair}}: The majority of the characters. However, since they are all players in a MMORPG this is a Justified Trope.
- Your Terrorists Are Our Freedom Fighters: For FIREWALL, VIRUS are the terrorists, but VIRUS considers themselves freedom fighters.
