An urban legend in Tokyo states that at midnight, a girl dressed as a lolita will appear and ask you one question. You mustn't answer this question, however, for if you do the girl will come to be your younger sister. She will say that she has finally found her big brother, and insinuate herself into every aspect of your life... until she finally gives you a "twisted" death.
Kazuki, a young college student living in a small apartment building, is taking out his trash one night when he sees a disheveled young woman dressed in lolita-style clothing sitting in the street by the neighborhood trash pile. Unnerved, he tries to ignore her and pass by, when she asks him a single question: "Do you have a younger sister?" Surprised, he answers that he does, before running off to the safety of his apartment. Passing it off as an isolated encounter with a strange woman, Kazuki decides to think nothing more of it.
But then he starts to see her more and more, and each time her behavior and appearance seem more unusual than the last. When he learns that she's been going through his trash and has even found a way into his apartment by passing herself off as his younger sister while he's at school, he begins to fear that she may even be dangerous. After hearing the legend of the "Strange Lolita", Kazuki becomes determined that he needs to protect himself by scaring the bizarre woman away once and for all. Unfortunately, the young man has no idea of the horrors that await him...
Ibitsu is a horror Manga drawn and written by Ryou Haruka. It was released in 2009 by publisher Square Enix, and serialized in the manga magazine Young GanGan.
Tropes present in Ibitsu include:[]
- Axe Crazy
- Bring My Brown Pants: When the Strange Lolita eats an eyeball, the terrified Hikari pees her panties.
- Cruel and Unusual Death: None of the deaths in this series are pleasant, but special mention goes out to the absolute nightmare Yuka goes through on her way to the afterlife. First, she's an athlete, and she has her knee obliterated in an instant. Even if she had survived, her leg was essentially being held together by her skin. Second, while the poor girl is screaming and crawling away, the Lolita just taunts her and smashes both her hands. Third, Yuka gets her head tilted up by the Lolita's foot, tears and sweat pouring down her face. Finally, after weakly telling the Lolita to stop, she gets her neck snapped and her head twisted around.
- Dies Wide Open: Yuka's eyes were wide open when she was killed, and when Hikari finds her, they're still open, staring blankly at her.
- Fan Disservice: Yuka is a beauty with big boobs, and she wears a basketball jersey that's somehow practically sealed to them. We also get to watch her get her knee destroyed (where she lands on said big boobs), and when Hikari finds her, we're treated to an unpleasant view of her huge rack with her twisted neck forcing her head to rest on her boobs.
- Fingore The Lolita makes a special point to crush both of Yuka's hands while she's helpless on the ground.
- Gorn
- Gory Discretion Shot: We get to see Yuka get brutalized with a sledgehammer, but we don't actually get to see Yuka die. We only see the sledgehammer speeding toward her chin, and the next time we see her, she's already been killed.
- Groin Attack: The Lolita wants to do this to Hikari. In response to Hikari peeing her panties, she takes a burning hot clothing iron and attempts to press it against Hikari's crotch, with only a pair of panties on to protect her.
- When the Lolita is chasing Hikari through her school, the Lolita stabs multiple scalpels into a human anatomy model, with most of them going right in the crotch. Hikari's death is never shown in the manga, sparing readers the image of a teenager's girl parts being mutilated.
- Kill'Em All
- Kill the Cutie: Yuka is a cute, bubbly basketball player with big boobs. None of those things save her when the Lolita kills her with a sledgehammer.
- Kneecapping: When the Strange Lolita corners Hikari and her friend, Yuka, in the gym after school one night, she destroys Yuka's knee with a sledgehammer like it was nothing.
- Murder the Hypotenuse: The Lolita's solution to the fact that Kazuki already has a younger sister is to personally make sure that Hikari is taken out of Kazuki's life... permanently.
- Neck Snap: How Yuka meets her end. Her neck is so badly destroyed that it completely spins around, forcing her head to fall down and rest on her boobs while looking forward.
- Serial Killer: Kazuki is horrified to learn, far too late of course, that he's not the first person approached in this manner. The others who became the Strange Lolita's "older brothers" were never heard from again.
- Shoot the Shaggy Dog: Kazuki is dead and has been framed for the murders committed by the Strange Lolita, who lives on to continue looking for older brothers as an "urban legend".
- Stalker with a Crush: The "Strange Lolita", though she seems to be seeking more of a (albeit extremely twisted) brother-sister relationship than a romantic one.
- Too Dumb to Live: Yuka's intentions are nice, as she just wants to help protect her friend, but it's true when the Lolita calls her an idiot. She knew about the Lolita's rumors, and the moment she sees the Lolita, she antagonizes her and slaps her. Yuka then proceeds to get one of the worst and drawn out deaths in the series. She was just a teenager, so she likely didn't realize the danger until it was too late, not that the Lolita was going to let the girl leave alive.
- Would Hit a Girl: Kazuki. It is very, very, VERY justified.
- Yandere - Guess who?
