These comments about Ikue Asazaki are subjective - not everybody will agree with all of them:
- Signature Song: She's best known as singing Obokuri-Eeumi from Samurai Champloo
- Tear Jerker:
- Many of her songs are heartbreaking, double if you know what the lyrics mean, making this especially the case of Obokuri-Eeumi, which is about someone wishing for a better life (for either themselves or their children) while they are living in poverty. To cap it off, it is a folk song originating from the Okinawa and the Ryukyu islands
- There's also Youisura, the title translating to "All Good". Even if you don't know the lyrics, the instrumentals will tug at heartstrings.
