i_s_l_a_n_d_rp (underscores included), was a panfandom Livejournal RP that ran for four years and nine months. Known for the crack, CR, and its generally relaxed slice of life atmosphere, Island was one of the first forerunners of LJRP that actually lasted a long time. While it approaches its one year closing anniversary, its still very much in the players hearts.

This roleplay provided and provides examples of:

• Courtroom Antic: The trials. Dear god, the trials.
• Fan Disservice: Riku's hairy legs. D:
• Heel Face Turn: Most baddies got a downgrade, or a Morality Pet during their stay. The most chaotic villain mischief or worse usually only showed up during events or The Years Of Island We Try Not to Remember.
  • Beatrice and Erika are good examples, though the former gets one in canon anyway.
• Mama Bear / Papa Wolf: If two characters adopted a younger character, usually applied without parents and on their own, you'd best not mess with them.
  • Especially applies to Chii and Yotsuba&!
• No Fourth Wall If the joke was funny, the wall could come down. This especially applied to Shonen Jump characters.
• Revolving Door Casting Roleplayers can be fickle, after all. Not everyone could stay as long as Laharl.
• This Means War: A favorite past-time between players was and still is to declare war on one another in the most civilized manner ever... by pasting each others' characters heads on embarrassing pictures.
  • Wars also broke out during the opening hours of the wiki.
    • Hell, wars broke out between characters over equally ridiculous things.
