- Disney nearly released an animated-adaptation of this story, a musical-comedy called Gigantic. Set to be released in October 2020, it featured work from the creators of both Tangled and Inside Out. Set during the Age of Exploration, and Jack would have befriended at least one giant living in the clouds. Sadly, the project was "simply not working" - according to former Pixar president Ed Catmull - and was cancelled.
