- High Octane Nightmare Fuel: The whole show, until around about two-thirds of the way through the series, at which point it becomes merely highly disturbing.
- Large Ham: Hyde - to the point of Narm. "Why am I not a superman?"
- Narm: The last five seconds of the show take the cake:

- Smug Snake: Benjamin is almost certainly a deliberate smug snake and it works; he talks polite and acts friendly but somehow just oozes something that makes him a villain you love to hate.
- So Bad It's Good: The hammy acting and overly elaborate conspiracy plot might make some viewers less inclined to view it as truly scary and more along the lines of awesomely campy.
- Unfortunate Implications: The writers seems to have something against America for some reason...
- Wham! Line: "I don't own a black van, Dr. Jackman..."
- Also Claire saying "I turn his eyes black."
