Jennette Michelle Faye McCurdy is an American film and television actress and country singer-songwriter.
She rose to fame as ICarly's resident Badass, Samantha Puckett. Jennette has also starred in other TV shows such as Zoey 101, Malcolm in the Middle, Will and Grace, Strong Medicine, Law & Order: Special Victims Unit, The Inside, True Jackson, VP and Judging Amy, as well as TV movie Best Player.
She has also parlayed into a country music career and was signed with Capitol Records Nashville, having released 2 albums as of 2012.
Following the end of iCarly's fifth & final season, Jennette starred in a short-lived Spin-Off series, Sam & Cat, co-starring Victorious' Cat Valentine that lasted from 2013 to 2014.
Starting in 2014, McCurdy's work began to shift more towards independent and darker media before she retired from acting altogether in 2018. Since then, she's voiced a dislike towards most of her resume before saying in 2021 that she had only perused child acting to please her abusive Stage Mom.
