Well, this is some nice music... HOLY CRAP SOMEBODY JUST BLASTED THROUGH THE WALL AND STOLE THE JETPACK THAT WAS LYING THERE!
From the guys that brought us Fruit Ninja, we have Jetpack Joyride: An interesting and addicting little game for the iOS that stars Barry Steakfries. The goal is to travel as far as you can.
At least, it was initially.
After several updates, the game now has coins, outfits and jetpacks, various upgrades and gadgets, and even achievements.
- Awesome McCoolname: Barry Steakfries.
- Bling of War: The gold vehicle upgrades don't do anything besides make the vehicles look pretty. But DAMN are they shiny.
- Canine Companion / Robot Buddy: Flash the robot dog, added in the most recent update.
- Cool Bike: The Bad As Hog.
- Memetic Badass: The flavor text treats him like this.
- Mr. Cuddles the Giant Fire-breathing Robot Dragon
- Powerup Mount: Barry has six to choose from.
- Shout-Out: Several of the purchasable items and their flavor text deliver these.
- The Powered Up Hair and the Super Suit. The Flavor Text for the first is "We're not sure what the Power Level of this hair is. It's probably a lot," and it even costs 9001 coins.
- One head/body pair makes a Barry-Terminator.
- The Sensei's Threads and the accompanying headband serve as a reference to Fruit Ninja, also by Halfbrick.

- Tempting Fate: There's a sign by the selected jetpack that states quite clearly, "Do Not Steal." Guess how every single Jetpack Joyride run starts.
- Universal Driver's License: Barry takes this to utterly ridiculous extremes. He can competently pilot a jetpack, a Cool Bike, a mechanical super stomper, a gravity-manipulating cyber suit, a flying, firebreathing, robotic hybrid dragon, a teleporter and a coin-eating robot bird.
- Dissimile: The flavor text for the Golden Gravity Suit.
