Born in 1944, John Rhys-Davies is a Welsh actor and voice actor best known for his role as Sallah in Raiders of the Lost Ark and Gimli in The Lord of the Rings trilogy. He is also the voice of Cassim from Disney's Aladdin and the King of Thieves, Man Ray from SpongeBob SquarePants, Macbeth from Gargoyles, and the voice of the narrator in the fourth installment in the Quest for Glory series of computer games.
