Rejoice, troper. Joji Nakata will be described here.
The other (and newer) go-to guy for deep voiced villains. Joji Nakata, often called George Nakata, is a man gifted with a deep, astringent voice, which lands him veteran roles. And, as we mentioned, villains. In fact, he has become so known for it that it is often easy to identify a person as evil just because Joji Nakata is voicing him. If he is playing heroes, you can be sure that the hero is either old, or at least an Anti-Hero. Either way, they also tend to hold mentor roles for other characters because his voice also lends itself well to exposition, explanations and Hannibal Lectures.
He first made himself known in the English language fandom as Alucard, but wasn't quite prominent as fans preferred Alucard's English version done by Crispin Freeman, it wasn't until later when he became quite prominent on his own.

- Has voiced a prominent villain in all adaptations of Nasuverse works, including:
- Kirei Kotomine in Fate/stay night and Fate/Zero (Villain in the former, had his Start of Darkness in the latter.)
- Nrvnsqr "Nero" Chaos in Melty Blood (Villain.)
- Souren Araya in Karano Kyoukai (Villain.)
- Neko-Arc Chaos in Melty Blood (Parody of Nrvnsqr Chaos, Lethal Joke Character)
- The crossover manga All Around Type-Moon makes Nakata the manager of the cafe the crossover is set in. "George" is apparently able to channel the spirits of all three villains, and everybody is terrified of him.
- Van Grants in Tales of the Abyss (Mentor. Also, villain.)
- Diethard Reid in Code Geass (Villainous.)
- Uesugi Kenshin (On the opposing side of the force that has the poster boy (Yukimura), overall, kinda of an Anti-Hero) & Tokugawa Ieyasu (Actually good, but used to be a Smug Snake, is the poster boy's final archenemy, and so many wants a piece of him in the second game) in Samurai Warriors
- Leonidas (Gerard Butler) in the Japanese dub of 300 (THIS IS! SPARTA'S STYLE!!, he then corrected it later in Keroro Gunsou)
- Algol in Soulcalibur IV (Antagonistic. More Blood Knight than villain.)
- Several villain roles in Super Sentai. To wit: Sir Cowler, Grand Professor Bias (Villains.)
- Dracula in Castlevania Judgment (One of the only cases where Norio Wakamoto did not voice Dracula. Also, Villain.)
- Kageyama in Black Lagoon (Villain.)
- Bandou in Elfen Lied. (Villain/ Type V Anti-Hero.)
- Folken in Vision of Escaflowne. (Villain, or better said, borderline Byronic Hero. He gets better. And then he dies.)
- And in The Movie, where he's just a villain period.
- Benkei in Kurozuka. (Villain.)
- Kunugi in RahXephon. (Antagonistic. He gets better. Not a villain. In-universe Memetic Badass [see: cherry trees].)
- Gallon in Odin Sphere. (Villain, albeit unwillingly.)

- Kazuya Mishima in Tekken 1, 2 and Tag Tournament. (Villain Protagonist.)
- Baki in Naruto. (Antagonistic. He gets better, as a Team Dad to the former resident Woobie, Destroyer of Worlds.)
- James "Jack" Bukhar in Yukikaze (A complete anomaly in Nakata's resumé, as he's not only a thoroughly positive character, but at 34-36 he's quite young as well.)
- Roy Revant in Solty Rei (Protagonist... WHA? Still an Anti-Hero, though.)
- Gouto in the Raidou Kuzunoha Drama CD (Non-villain mentor.)
- Taxi driver in Canaan. (Crazy Awesome Heroic Bystander.)
- MPU in Cowboy Bebop. (Renegade AI. Episode antagonist. Completely non-malicious, and surprisingly chipper on top of it.)
- Federico Czariano in Mobile Suit Gundam MSIGLOO. (Depends on whose side you're on.)
- Edmond Du Clos in Mobile Suit Gundam SEED Stargazer. (Neutral.)
- Shiyu Kusanagi in X 1999 (Played him in The Movie and in the CD Dramas.)
- Shamon in Amatsuki (All-around pleasant fellow. Crazy, innit?)
- King Kashew in the Record of Lodoss War TV series, replacing Shuichi Ikeda. (Not only he's a good guy, but a Supporting Leader and The King!)
- Jinkuro in Muramasa: The Demon Blade (Villain Protagonist.)
- "Mr. Smith" in Darker Than Black's second season (Villain.)
- Vladimir Putin in The Legend of Koizumi (Villain turned The Lancer.)
- Tokino's singing voice in Kujibiki Unbalance (Shattered windows, killed birds, downed a plane. Scored 120 percent.)
- Kuma in Sketchbook ~full color'S~ (A cat. A very hammy cat.)
- Maryuo Gaav in Slayers Next (Villain.)
- Hyougo Otoo in WORKING!! (A really nice restaurant manager, gets threatened a lot by a girl...)
- Peterhausen in Ichiban Ushiro no Dai Maou (Draconic Mentor and servant of the demon king. Villain by the standards of the world, if not the protagonist).
- The narrator in Amagami SS's Nakata arc (Narrating a love story. Very smarmy towards the protagonist. The other arcs don't even have a narrator.)
- Soichiro Takagi in Highschool of the Dead (Extremely scary japanese right-winger, though this is mostly glossed over in the anime. Non-villain.)
- Luxord in Kingdom Hearts II (Villain.)
- The narrator/voice of the Birth Driver of Kamen Rider OOO (Disembodied voice with no affiliation beyond episode recaps.)
- The Ace Pilot Joshua O'Brien in Armored Core 4. (Heroic example except in the end, when he becomes a Tragic Monster.)
- Albert Wesker in Marvel vs. Capcom 3. (Villain.)
- Chaser John Doe in Yumekui Merry (Mysterious, but definitely antagonistic.)
- Dufarge in Soukou no Strain (Reasonable Authority Figure. Not a villain.)
- Paya-tan in Dai Mahou Touge (The villainous side at least.)
- Momoko in Shangri-La (Transsexual Protagonist, turned Well-Intentioned Extremist, turned protagonist again.)
- Hody Jones in One Piece (Villain.)
- Reverend Lovejoy in the Japanese-dubbed version of The Simpsons Movie (only in the theatrical release of this movie.)
